Total Solar Eclipse Party
With Desert Door located right along the path of totality, we knew the 2024 solar eclipse was a once-in-a-lifetime moment to create something special. I partnered with our Director of Field Marketing to spearhead the planning and creative direction for an immersive, community-focused event that welcomed visitors from all over.
In partnership with local brands and vendors—including Kammok, Siete Family Foods, Abbey Dyed, No Good Tattoo, Amy’s Ice Creams, and Turtlebox—we curated a day full of unique activations. Guests enjoyed indigo bandana dyeing, tarot readings, flash tattoos, live music, and more—all building up to the unforgettable moment of totality.
Event Highlights & Results:
- Sold-out event with 135+ tickets and $7K in ticket sales through Eventbrite
- Drove over $10K in on-site beverage and merch sales
- Generated 10K+ impressions on organic social with $0 in paid spend
- Earned press coverage from Eater Austin, CultureMap Austin, and Community Impact—resulting in 5 total media mentions and 1MM+ estimated impressions
