At Desert Door, I led PR and communications in partnership with our agency, Giant Noise - driving media strategy, shaping brand messaging, and building awareness through thoughtful storytelling and strong media relationships.
Key Contributions:
- Managed day-to-day agency relationship and led PR strategy, setting clear goals, timelines, and KPIs
- Led the coordination with Huckberry’s DIRT series creative producers, where Desert Door was featured - hosting Huckberry at both the distillery and the Desert Door Ranch in the Trans-Pecos region, and guiding them through the brand’s story, process, and connection to West Texas as they explored local ingredients and communities
- Contributed to pitching storylines to GN to secure placements in national, regional, and global media outlets. Developed press kits, brand narratives, and supporting PR materials to ensure consistent, messaging across all touchpoints
- Led award submissions for spirits competitions, earning Desert Door nine (9) spirit awards in the Sotol category (London, San Francisco, and Denver)
- Shaped messaging for executive interviews, product launches, brand campaigns, and internal communications
